Editorial policy

Sources first

We rely on primary sources: UK Department for Education guidance, exam boards (AQA, Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge, OCR), inspection frameworks, and schools' own published information. We list the sources at the end of each page.

How articles are produced

Drafts may be prepared with the help of AI writing tools. Every page is then reviewed by a human editor, who checks facts against the cited sources before publication. We do not publish unchecked figures.

School directory

A school appears in the directory only after its core details (location, ages, curricula, accreditation and, where published, fees) have been checked against its own website. Each listing records the date it was checked. Fees change every year, so always confirm with the school.

Updates and corrections

Each page shows a "last reviewed" date. To report an error, email editor@cobisec.org. We correct verified errors promptly.

Independence

No school or organisation can pay for inclusion or for favourable coverage. If we ever carry advertising or affiliate links, they will be clearly labelled.
